Position Last Season – 12th
Coach – Attila Supka
Odds – 149/1
Player to watch – Peter Bajzat – Bajzat had a superb time out in NBI last season. The 31 year old is a born goalscorer, and that was shown as he helped Pecs to a comfortable mid table position with an impressive 11 goals in 21 starts. His goalscoring record throughout his career has been superb, and that’s unlikely to change next season. A big threat for any opposition.
Rising star – Denes Dibusz. The Hungarian Under 21 international was in superb form last season, and that form attracted interest from abroad. He has a fantastic leap, is superbly agile and is very commanding and comfortable on crosses. After his first season in NBI last year, he’ll be looking to improve on the good form an possibly get a dream move abroad.
Realistic Target – Pecs have to start well. Last year they were tipped by many for relegation but a superb start got them off the ground, and they shocked many when they were challenging for the European places at the turn of the year. However, as most expected, Pecs started to drop like a stone and ended up finishing 12th after the ridiculous decision to sack their manager in April. If they start poorly this season, they could easily go down.
