Position Last Season – 5th
Coach – István Szábo
Odds – 44/1
Player to watch – Francis Litsingi. The Congolose international really had to step up to the plate last season with the loss of talisman Foxi, and he performed admirably. Chipping in with four goals from midfield, he’ll be hoping to better that this season and KTE will certainly be counting on him. Has great ability to beat a man with his pace, but his end product is very erratic. An enigma, but an exciting one.
Rising Star – Lajos Bertus. The 21 year old midfielder was given plenty of opportunities last season for KTE, and started to live up the performances expected of him. He scored 3 goals last season in the league, and provided a few more. He has a great delivery, is pretty speedy and the Hungarian Under 21 international will be looking to build on that to become a stalwart of this Kecskemet side.
Realistic Target – KTE will be hoping for a comfortable mid table finish this season. With Tokoli aging and Foxi now departed, KTE will find goals hard to come by which could be a worry as the season goes on. It’s so hard to judge this side as they could mount a European challenge but don’t be shocked to see them near the lower echelons of the table next June.
