BFC Siofok

Position last season  9th

Coach – István Mihalecz

Player to watch – Vilmos Melczer. The goal scoring midfielder will once again pull the strings at the Révész Géza utcai stadion after a season which saw him score 8 goals in 25 games, a record some strikers in the division would be envious of. Speculation of him moving away from the lake side club proved wide of the mark and they have done well to keep hold of the former under 21 international.

Rising star – Dániel Lengyel. The giant centre back could easily be mistaken for someone far older than 23 as he is starting to look more assured on the pitch. Making 17 appearances last season, the former Haladás man will be a key part of keeping his team in the division.

Realistic target – Last season Siófok went from relegation candidates to one of the in form teams in the championship and in the end stayed up comfortably. This season a lot of the old guard have departed, so expect the first half of the season to be a transition period. If they cannot replicate last season’s form in the second half of the season, they could be in real trouble.
