Russian referee announced for the friendly v Belarus

37 year old Russian referee, Sergey Lapochkin, from St Petersburg, takes charge of the National Team friendly match with Belarus. Mr Lapochkin has been on the FIFA list since 2013 and is currently in Group 2. He has not had a prolific season internationally, taking charge of just 3 games. 19 July 2017 he took charge of the 2nd round UEFA Champions League qualifier between RB Salzburg v Hibernians, 27th July 2017 he took charge of the 3rd round UEFA Europa League qualifier between Red Star and Sparta Praha. His only other international match this season was an U18 friendly between Russia and Germany, in May. Domestically he has overseen 20 games in the Russian Premier Liga, 1 game in the Relegation Premier Liga and 2 games in the Russian 1st Division. This is the first time he has officiated with either team at any level.
