Brian Flynn’s young guns could not hold onto a draw and a goal in the dying seconds of injury time secured victory for Hungary.

Wales started the game well and should have been one up in the opening minute Richard Peniket clear on the edge of the Hungary goal area struck the ball only for it to be deflected into the path of Peter Gulacsi in the Hungary goal.

Wales were to be punished for that miss and in the 6th minute Hungary were on the break, David Stephens was caught napping with the ball played over his head to the feet of Benjamin Balazs who’s first touch set him up for a shot low into the bottom corner passed a fully stretched Chris Maxwell.

Wales kept pushing and were rewarded for there efforts in the 37th minute Jonathan Williams with a blistering break down the right flank drove the ball low and hard into the Hungary goal area to the feet of Lee Lucas who struck the ball first time past Peter Gulacsi in the Hungary goal.

In the closing minutes of the 1st half Wales claim for a penalty on Billy Bodin were brushed aside by referee Halis Ozkahya who showed a yellow card to Bodin for diving, so going into the break it was all even.

Wales stated the 2nd half with the bit between there teeth and with 49mins on the clock Jonathan Williams with a powerful run into the Hungary goal area and right foot strick sails inches past the post with the replacement keeper Denes Dibusz well beat.

Wales should have secured the game with chances falling to Robert Ogleby, Billy Bodin only for them both to push the ball wide of the goal on each occasion.

With the outlook of the game going to be a draw the Hungarians pushed in the closing seconds of the game and with the Welsh defence static Zsolt Harasyzi collected the ball on the edge of the Welsh goal area struck the ball which curled in past Maxwell and into the bottom corner a massive blow to Brian Flynn’s young men who at times outplayed Hungary.
